The team did very well on Wednesday night. We had a very tough practice on Tuesday night even though we competed the next evening. One reason for this is that we like to see how the wrestlers react if they come out a little flat in their matches. Our JV in particular seemed a little flat in their matches as I'm sure they are not accustomed to such a high work load. Its an important lesson because you never know when you may come out a little flat in the second day of the state tournament or districts. I felt the team did well.
I'd also like to bring your attention to US Olympian Andy Hrovat's blog . Andy is currently in Russia training with the best international wrestlers in the world. Whether you're facinated with the ruskies like I am, or you're just interested in the unique experience of an American being isolated in a completely different culture. From a wrestling and cultural perspective, its very interesting to read.
