Parent Preseason Meeting October 14th

We will be holding a Parent meeting in the Library October 14th at 6:30pm.  We will be talking about gear for parents and fans, team socials, and post-weigh-in snacks and meals.  We could really use your help!  Call Coach Stanley for more info.

Preseason Kick-off!

We had a great kickoff to our preseason wrestling today. The boys went for a 3 mile run, did a plate workout and finished w/ some great Ab work. Good job to Coaches Soliz and Haney for running the workout and to the boys for putting in the time.

We are releasing our Fall and early season schedules.  Below is a list of dates for preseason wrestling, the start of the official season, due dates, clinics, etc.  Take a look and if you have questions, let us know.

September 17    Wrestling Preseason Team Meeting, 7:20am in Room 9

September 21    Preseason Conditioning/Open Mat begins—Mon/Wed/Thu 6:00-7:30pm

October 14     Parent Kick Off Meeting—7:00 in the library

October 17     Chris Pendleton Wrestling Clinic (2xNCAA Champ)—9am-4:30pm @ RHS

October 20-22     Sign-ups for Redmond Kids Wrestling Club—6:30-8pm in the RHS Commons

October 30     Spirit Pack money/forms due to Coach Stanley

November 9   First Practice—Get your Clearance Slip to Coach Stanley! 

· Practices on School Days—3:45-6:00pm

· Practices on Days w/out School—10-11:30am

November 13   Honor Code signature form due to Coach Stanley

The 1959 OSAA State Champion Wrestling Team

The R2J Education Foundation will team with the Redmond High School Booster Club and Panther Nation to present a week-end of recognition and fundraising for the Redmond School District. This year represents the 8th annual R2J Golf Tournament and the start of the Redmond High School Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognition will start at the RHS Football game on September 25th at Don Rich Stadium. The golf tournament will take place at Juniper Golf Course with a 9:30 AM shotgun start. Festivities will conclude Saturday evening at Eagle Crest with the Hall-of-Fame induction dinner and casino night fundraiser.

Now that we have a Head Football Coach hired (Redmond Wrestling's own Dan Elliot!) we've put together a summer calendar for Open Mats, Open Weight Rooms, and of course our wrestling camp.  Feel free to  Download the 2009 Summer Calendar.  Keep in mind our key dates of:

Tirapelle Team Camp July 5th (4pm-8pm), July 6-8 (10am-2pm)

Open Mats Tuesdays and Thursdays in June and July 5-6:30pm

Open Weight Room Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8-9:15am and 7-8:15pm
